Summer Shootout – July 13The next chance to join competitive play is an excellent opportunity for new players and space veterans alike. The Summer Shootout on July 13 will be a 1v1 event, consisting primarily of the newer game modes like Chivalry and Instablast. Without teammates or weapon pickups, players will need to demonstrate their precision with the provided bow and instablaster while blocking high-damage incoming fire their shields. Spacers fancying a more direct approach can whip out a sword in Chivalry for a little bit of extra flair.
Anyone wishing to compete will need to be in the Space Junkies discord to participate and can sign up on Challonge.
Community Cup ResultsThe first Community Cup , hosted by Ubisoft this past weekend, had newly formed 3v3 teams fight for the first time competitively in the Orenas. Many new players accepted the challenge, joining established VR League 2-person squads or starting up new teams altogether. Team Gravity emerged victorious, eager to remind the world why they made it to the VR League Finals. Not losing a single round in the tournament, they will look to hold the 3v3 crown in any future events the studio hosts.
