Microsoft Flight Simulator – World Update 3 releases today

Microsoft Flight Simulator – World Update 3 releases todayDeveloper of Microsoft Flight Simulator, Asobo, have locked in their new update for February 16th.

The VR compatible flight simulator will receive its third world update. In this new update to the title, they are focusing on the UK. The team has remade the landmass with more detailed renderings of cities and famous landmarks.

The update was originally slated to release early February, but it seems that the work needed to add the extra detail to the UK took longer than they had anticipated. It seems like this is the final date for release. According to their development update blog:

“World Update 3 is in its final polish phase and is now locked in for release on Tuesday, February 16th. The team is putting the finishing touches on all aspects of this massive update, and we appreciate your continued patience.”

Todays release is now locked in and fans of the game will be able to enjoy more carefully rendered versions of the Titanic Quarter in Belfast, the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Bridge in Ireland, and cities like London, Birmingham, and Bristol. Major landmarks like Windsor Castle, and Stonehenge have also been updated.

Oculus VR is a company that launched a Kickstarter project to release virtual reality goggles in the 2010s. Their goggles brought a lot of interest to virtual reality after many years of not a lot of interest by industry or consumers.
